  • Ascertain network cost of operations
Application and Services Impact
  • Assess application and service deployment on the infrastructure
  • Determine support for voice and video
  • Implement application prioritization on the network with service classification
  • Protect mission-critical applications using techniques such as Quality of Service (QoS) and differentiated services
Architecture, Design and Implementation
  • Design networks including cable plants, equipment and routing hierarchy
  • Provide WAN, LAN and MAN solutions using contemporary network architectures such as Ethernet, Frame Relay, ATM, Packet-over-SONET and WDM
  • Enable a complete multicast infrastructure with IGMP, CGMP, PIM-SM/DM
  • Provide off-premises interoperability, proof-of-concept and testing
  • Design and implement network operations centers
Network Availability
  • Evaluate current network availability plan.
  • Provide risk analysis and design a comprehensive disaster recovery plan
Modeling and Simulation
  • Demonstrate impact of new design changes in both controlled and simulated environments

Telecommunications Services

  • Assess the operation, performance and configuration of the switching systems, voice mail and transmission systems
  • Determine trunk capacity to provide a “grade of service” or “blocking probability percentage” consistent with the carrier or enterprise operating requirements
  • Calculate the trunks needed to handle the client’s peak traffic
  • Quantify peak traffic and baseline traffic
  • Lay out routing schemes for trunk groups
  • Determine H.323 versus SIP requirements
Numbering Plan
  • Configure and verify current dial plan to show restricted and unrestricted dial numbers, such as area codes, 800 numbers, PIC codes and international calling on a switch level
  • Verify current dial plans by extension numbers
  • Provide dial configurations for CLECs, including local number
Voice Over IP/ATM/xDSL/Frame Relay
  • Provide a cost evaluation of new service in comparison to the current networks
  • Perform cost analysis of equipment and ROI calculation
  • Design migration plan from existing network to integrated voice/data network
CLEC Services
  • Verify PIC pricing and routing schemes
  • Perform traffic analysis
  • Determine viable architectures, including access, signaling, and switching
  • Develop access strategies, including HFCA, xDSL and MMDS
  • Establish interconnection strategy, including collocation and mid-span meets
Contemporary Tandem Switch Deployment and Engineering
  • Design and implement contemporary tandem equipment, such as open-architecture soft switches, into CLEC and enterprise networks
  • Architect network to address separation of call control and bearer control
  • Configure and integrate signaling systems, such as Signaling System 7 (SS7)

Management and Measurement Services

Assessment and Design
  • Design network and systems management requirements
  • Evaluate existing capabilities by interviewing personnel and performing site surveys
  • Review existing network and systems management policies, procedures and documentation
  • Recommend the network system, platform and software necessary to meet current and future requirements
  • Architect back office and operations support systems (OSS)
Installation
  • Install comprehensive network and systems management platforms and requisite components
  • Test the operating system and platform software within MindLinX Network Center or in the client's environment
Capacity Planning
  • Implement network and systems management probes and data collection devices
  • Analyze inbound/outbound applications and management traffic to determine utilization and communications flow

  • Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLA's) from providers for compliance
Asset and Configuration Management
  • Provide an assessment and inventory of infrastructure assets
  • Identify and correlate current applications and information flow
Modeling and Simulation
  • Identify integral components that impact performance and service level
  • Determine the relationship among system entities to assess bandwidth, latency, and utilization
  • Correlate events between the application and the infrastructure for enhanced capacity planning and deterministic SLAs

Security Assessment

Our Management and Measurement security experts conduct a variety of network security assessments to determine network risk factors, including external and internal threats such as unauthorized access and disclosure, compromise of data integrity and denial of service.  MindLinX helps its clients align their enterprise security strategy with business needs and objectives.  Additionally, it prepares them to adapt to the dynamic technologies available and proposed, and brings assurance and efficient management to their overall management structure. MindLinX evaluates your current security controls, identify potential threats, and helps clients better understand their security risks, develop a vision for how security architecture affects the business, and establish sound security principles and standards to correct vulnerabilities.

Information Network Security Assessment (INSA)

INSA Methodology
  • Discovery
  • Evaluation
  • Vulnerability Check
  • Policy Review
  • Design
  • Presentation

Customized Information Security Services (CISS)

  • Architecture and design – A collaborative process of discovery and development that produces a client-specific security architecture.
  • Policy and process – Development of an effective, implemental information security policy that establishes standards and principles to guide activities within the network environment.
  • Security project management
  • Vendor product support
  • Implementation of individual INSA modules

Total Network Security Assessment

  • Internal Technical Security Assessment – examines the technical configuration, placement, controls and security management of the internal network architecture and infrastructure.
  • Perimeter Security Assessment – uses the MindLinX Security “AIM” Model (Assess, Identify, Mitigate) to identify bona fide, credible vulnerabilities in comprehensive examination that identifies and ranks by severity vulnerabilities to the network infrastructure.
  • Physical Security Assessment – looks at access controls to sensitive areas, data classification and handling, fire suppression and electrical power.
